Moravsky, Maria
Writer. Born in Warsaw of Polish parents; her first writings were published in the Polish papers, but after her family moved to Russia she began contributing to the Russian magazines. Her work "Beautiful Poland" has been translated into German, French and Japanese. Since coming to the U.S., has contributed to over sixty magazines, including such periodicals as Harper's Magazine and the Atlantic Monthly. Certain of her stories have been listed by Edward J. O'Brien among the best American short stories. Her last work is "The Bird of Fire," written in English. Writes in several languages.From: "Who's Who in Polish America" by Rev.
