Trojanowski, Stanislaus Anthony
Journalist. Born in Wyszogrod. Poland, March 21, 1893. Son of Hyacinth and Frances (Piechna) Trojanowski. Educated in Poland, where he started his career as a young contributor to several Polish papers, the "Zaranie," "Mazur," "Rola" and others. Came to U.S. in 1912, to Racine, Wis. In 1915 came to Detroit, Mich., contributing to several Polish daily papers, "Kuryer Polski," Milwaukee, Wis., "Dziennik Polski" Detroit, Mich. In 1917 enlisted in the Polish Army in the U.S. and was commissioned as a speaker to Recruiting station No. 3 in Detroit, Mich., as organizer. In 1919 appointed chief editor of "Dziennik Polski," Detroit, Mich. In 1920 Chief of Press Bureau at Polish Consulate, New York, N.Y. Subsequently editor of "Kuryer Narodowy in New York, N.Y., city editor and chief editor of "Gornik Codzienny," Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; Chief editor of "Telegram Codzienny," New York, N.Y.; Later editor-in chief of "Dziennik Polski," Detroit, Mich., for 15 years (second time). For a short time correspondent of "Monitor," Cleveland, 0., and "Rekord Codzienny," Detroit, Mich. For several years member of editorial staff of "Ameryka-Echo," Toledo, 0. At present (1943) with the city hall of Hamtramck, Mich,, since 1936. Member of P.N.A. and several other organizations. Active in civic and political affairs. Lecturer and radio commentator. Married Genevieve Wieckiewicz, Aug. 25, 1923, in Cleveland, 0.: seven children. Home address: 8821 Jos. Campau Avenue, Hamtramck, Mich.
