Wanat, Anthony
Musician, violinist. Born in Dillonvale, Ohio in 1920. A young and promising musician. His musical accomplishments include: State of Ohio violin and band student conductor champion; second division winner in violin and third division winner in band student conducting at the national regional contest held at Elkhart, Md.; winner of E.O.M.E.A. violin contest for three years. He was concert-master for the Wheeling Civic Symphony Orchestra during 1937-38. In 1939 he was appointed as a member of the United States Army Band, the youngest man ever admitted to the Army Band.From: "Who's Who in Polish America" by Rev.
