SOUTH BURLINGTON - Helen E. Warren, 88, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, in the Stan- Farm Nursing Center in Burlington. Born in Salem, Mass., on Jan. 15, 1920, the daughter of Stanley Mazurczyk and Eleanora Wansiewski, she was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, John Warren, and her older brother Joseph. Surviving family members include her brothers, John Merten in Toms River, N.J., and Henry Mazurczyk in Salem, Mass.; her only child. Henry Warren in Shelburne; and their extended families.

Helen graduated from Kearny High School in Kearny, N.J., and went on to study dietetics at Pratt Institute in New York City before marrying and working as a co-owner of both Pulaski Food Products Co. and Battery Food Products Co. While residing in Kearny, Helen attended St. Casimir's Polish National Catholic Church in Harrison, which had been organized by her father, and was an active member and officer in the Rainbow Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, recently celebrating her 60-year membership.

A private, family graveside service will be held in New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, Helen would appreciate donations in her memory to the International Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia Foundation, 3932-D Swift Road, Sarasota, FL 34231-6541. Cremation services are coordinated by Stephen C. Gregory of Shelburne (985-3523).
