Graduated from City College of New York, 1917. Since 1922 publisher of "Nowy Swiat" (Polish Morning World), the most progressive Polish daily newspaper. Publisher of "Amerikai Magyar Nepszava" (Hungarian Daily Newspaper), published in New York City, 1928-1938. Prominent Polish-American leader in the East. For his services rendered to the cause of Poland and for his contributions to numerous Polish causes the Republic of Poland twice decorated him -- first with the officer's cross "'Polonia Restituta" and the second time with the commander's cross "Polonia Restituta." Trustee of Common Council; former director of District No. 4 Polish American Council. Member of the Board of Directors, Polish Welfare Bureau in New York. Founder and president of AMPOL, Inc., an importing firm, 1932-1939. President of National Committee of Americans of Polish Descent and very active in that organization. Vice president of Kosciuszko Foundation. He was grand marshal of the Pulaski Memorial Parade held in 1938 on Fifth Avenue in New York City.
