Wojtkowiak, Stephen J.
Public official. Born in Buffalo, July 20, 1896, where he received his education in the public and parochial schools; went to work at an early age, his first job being on a farm. Later engaged in bridge show work and in the structural iron craft. In the World War I enlisted in the Fifth Regiment, Second Division, of the U.S. Marines. Served in France and was wounded in action. After the war, returned to his home city and entered the real estate business, establishing his own realty firm, known as a Service Realty Company. Married in 1919; elected State Senator and served in the State Senate in 1929-1930; 1931-32; 1933-34; 1935-36; 1937-38; 1939-40; re-elected in 1942. Member of Elks, The Polish Union, Chopin Singing Society, American Legion. Residence: 25 Academy Road, Buffalo, N.Y.
